About

Mica "Ghoul" Enriquez is a transgender Hispanic artist raised in Texas. Ghoul uses they/he pronouns. They enjoy working with macabre and dark subject matter with a focus on expressive mark-making and figurative work. Their glassblowing pieces are a labor of love and exploration, and they constantly search to find ways to combine their painting skills with the medium of glass. In addition to traditional art mediums and glassblowing, they have 10+ years of experience in graphic design and illustration. Mica enjoys dabbling in every kind of media they can get their hands on. Art has been a wordless journal since their youth, and it continues to be so. It has been  joy, and a place to exorcise their sorrows too, and their work reflects that in its many manifestations.
While they enjoy dark subject matter, their work in recovery and the mental health field, as well as their own personal struggles, has driven their volunteer and charity work. They work to support other BIPOC, LGBT+, transgender, and other marginalized people through volunteer work and peer support. In 2022 they established the Tucson Pangender Support Group, they regularly run charitable fundraisers for wildlife rehabilitation centers and organize pop-up art events to support other local artists.
